shepherd’s purse tincture

$32.00

shepherd's purse is a wild, beautiful herb with little heart shaped seed pouches and a spicy, pungent smell. this plant has a traditional use as an ally for uterine hemorrhage, as well as digestive issues and other excessive bleeding, including nose bleeds.

it also contains high levels of calcium and constituents said to increase calcium absorption.

while this remedy has long been used by midwives and wise women, for postpartum hemorrhage, it should not be used preventatively or "just in case." the best way to avoid excessive postpartum bleeding is undisturbed, normal, physiological birth. while plant medicine can be nourishing and powerful, we should know how to use the tools in our tool kit with discernment.

shepherd's purse tincture should always be made fresh. the dried plant tincture lacks effectiveness and potency.

we make this tincture with fresh shepherd's purse seeded tops in the earliest weeks of spring.
